What the extension handles
When you click the Chat Freezer toolbar icon on a supported Conversation page, the extension reads the current tab URL and the Conversation identified by that URL. Conversation content may include personal communications and user-generated content.
Chat Freezer does not enumerate your Conversation list, read account information, or access a supported website before you click the toolbar icon.
How the data is used
The data is used only to produce the Markdown Export you requested. Processing happens locally in your browser and only in memory. When the Export finishes or fails, the extension retains no copy of the Conversation.
The completed Markdown file is saved to your browser's normal downloads location. That file is under your control and is not uploaded by Chat Freezer.
Collection, sharing, and third parties
Chat Freezer has no developer-operated backend, accounts, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, remote configuration, or advertising. Conversation data is not transmitted to the developer, sold, shared, or used for any purpose other than the user-requested Export.
The extension interacts only with the supported Platform already open in the current tab as necessary to read that Conversation. It does not send Conversation data to any additional party.
Permissions

downloadssaves the completed Markdown file to your computer.
Data retention and deletion
Chat Freezer does not retain Conversation data, so there is no developer-held Conversation data to access, change, or delete. You can delete exported Markdown files from your computer at any time.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated before any release that changes how Chat Freezer handles data or the permissions it requests.
